Women’s Ministries is a very important part of every church. Prayer is, or should be the number one priority in Women’s Ministries. More can be accomplished through prayer than by all the combined giving and doing of every W.M. member. This does not, in any way, discredit the hours spent in witnessing, Bible study, fund-raising projects or devotions we have each month, all are important to a balanced ministry.
Our Women’s Ministries meet once a month, on the third Wednesday. This is a time of devotion, prayer, and listening to the ones who have special needs.
We help support our Missionette Director in anyway that she might need our help. We help in different needs in our church. Each December for our monthly meeting we have a dinner with our Brotherhood for our Christmas get together.
Each year we have a project called Boxes of Blessings. These are shoe boxes that our ladies help fill for the children and are sent to the City of Refuge in Honduras. Our Women Ministries also helps support the City of Refuge financially.
Our Women’s Ministries have ladies that give the Baby Showers and the Bridal Showers, and we all help in preparing food if we have a death.
We have a newsletter each month and this is so beautifully put together by Karen Coussons who also does our Sunshine Baskets when one of our ladies has been hospitalized. She also sends out Birthday and Anniversary cards to our ladies. It takes everyone to make a successful Women’s Ministries.
